Q.

Need Sleep!!!

My 8 week old boy sleeps for 30 minutes and is then awake for more than an hour. It is not a nappy, noice nor hunger that wakes him. It is also not hunger for he drinks anough on his regular (normal) times and he gets burbed correctly. There is also no sign of cramps. Tried everything but it is becoming a problem, because I noticed that he is tired and that makes him very grumpy after a while. Any help wil do?

Paediatrician

Something is obviously keeping your baby awake and it is not hunger. He also does not have colic. The most likely cause is acid reflux which is causing discomfort and is keeping him awake.I presume that he is breast fed so it will not be simple to offer him a thickened feed as a start. Please ask your paediatrician to see him.
