Nappy rash

My baby is 20 months old. Recently every time he passes a stool he gets some sores and they look very painful. it does not matter even if I change his nappy the minute he is done. He won''t even let me wipe his bum because it is painful. I have used Bactroban ointment and it works wonders for him until his next stool. I am going to be potty training him at the beginning of June. Please advise me on how we can treat these irritations.
Many thanks.

It is difficult for me to be sure about your little toddler's nappy rash without being able to see him.The rash may be due to a reaction or allergy to his nappies or possibly due to too much acid fruit in his diet. Stop all fruit juice and also do not give him any cirtrus fruit for at least 2 weeks.Change the brand of his nappies to another kind. Apply Antipeol nappy cream to the rash after each nappy change.

Hi, My little boy gets the same every now and then. I use a face cloth to cleam his bum - there is something in wetwipes that make it burn like that and also Dischem makes a fantastic bum cream that has a long lasting effect. With in minutes its all gone.
Good Luck
