My son aged 23 months is forever ill

I have been struggling with my son since March this year. Last year, he was hospitalised on 5 different occassions with extreme high fevers and vommitting. Blood test were done hwoever showed no cause. I was advised to have his tonsils removed as each time he has an inflamed throat. I had this done. Beginning of this year, we have suffered with runny nose, coughing (very wet), high fevers and vommitting again. I have a complete breakdown of each doctor visit since March. My sons ears were taking strain so I was advised to have grommets done which he had in May. Since then, we have still struggled with all the symptoms. He has been on antibiotics all through this year. He is on Prozef now and yet his ears are still oozing and he is still coughing and has a runny nose. I actually dont know what else to do. I have seen 8 doctors this year. He had a full blood count which showed no allergies.

You have given an excellent accoount of your son's symptoms. The most important question of all is whether he is at a creche? This pattern of illness sounds like the 'creche syndrome. If your son is at a creche he must be taken out now as he cannot continue with this degree of ill health and frequent infections. You need to boost his immunity by giving him Creche Guard daily even if he is not at a creche. Also give him a probiotic daily to boost his immunity and to counter-act the effects of all the antibiotics. Keep his nose clesr by using Salex nose drops or Sterimar nasal spray every morning and evening. Keep his ears dry by regulary gently mopping the pus which is oozing from his ears. with ear buds.Do not push the ear buds into his ears. Please write again if he does not improve on this simple programme.
