my daughter

she always complains about a headache and stomach pain, daily, she will tell me she has either both of one of the problems, now i took her to a paed last year, and said its normal for kids to feel this but i am not so sure anymore, is it normal for her to feel this daily? she is turning 9 in June, already has developed pubic hair on her privates and underarms and developing breasts, i think she is going to start menstruating early, is that all related or what? and what specific tests can she do to check her well being?

Your daughter is definitely entering puberty now. At 9 years this is bit early but not all that unusual anymore. No special tests are required.Your daughter's headaches and stomach pain suggest that she may have a form of migraine. If you have a family history of migraine then your daughter may indeed be showing the early symptoms of migraine. If there is no family history of migraine then you should possibly suspect some psychological reason or cause for your daughter's complaints. Is she happy at school? Does she like her teacher? Is she possibly being bullied by another child at school?
