my 4yr old

hi my 4yr old daughter doesnt want to eat but she ongly drinks juice or just soft things im really worried cause she has lost alot of weight and when she sleeping at night she has nightmares shes no longer taking her naps during the day,and what suprises me is that she plays during the day she doesnt show any sign that shes sick its just that shes so thin now..please help

It is a pity that you did not include your daughter's weight in your letter as this would help to decide about the severity of her eating problem. She obviously is not eating at all well. She is rather 'old' to still be having night terrors which are more common in younger children. Is she unhappy at school or is there something that is worrying her that you are aware about. Speak to her teacher and try to find out how she is getting on at school and if she has friends there.Many children of this age stop taking afternoon naps so I am not concerned about this.
You can try an appetite stimulant called Longifene syrup. Speak to your pharmacist.
