Childhood Diseases

My 3 year old keeps on getting continuous colds, coughs and never ending cold-sores.

My son is at preschool which I know is a factor in this as they are more prone to illnesses. Every week he always has one of the above..and its really starting to get to me because surely the immune system needs time to recover. He has a healthy diet, is a good eater and likes to be active. Took him to the paed in the beggining of February and she prescibed Singulae, Zimplex and Deselex for allergies (a repeat for 5 months). He is not getting better and everyweek he has a blocked nose of flu.

You are correct. Your young son is ill all the time because he is at a creche where the other children will always have colds and infect your son. You need to boost his immunity. Zinplex is a good idea and it will also help to give him Scotts Emulsion daily in addition to this. keep his nose clear by using a saline nasal spray such as Sterimar twice a day every day.

Just some hope for you, I also thought it is never going to stop, but now that my child is close to 4 she is finally not sick all the time. She still gets sick, but there are times when she is healthy.
