mumps in gauteng

hi paedi seems to be an mumps outbreak at my daught schl. The kids sitting next to her has it, she is up to date re all her vaccines, she is 8 in Gr2. Can she still get it if shes been vaccinated against it? I had mumps at her age and i think i as vaccinated? i assume i am not at risk of getting it? My son is 5 and i hear its dangerous for boys, what can i expect? what meds are given for mumps is it antibiotics?Txs so much

There is no treatment for mumps. All children are immunised against mumps at 15 months with the MMR vaccination and this is repeated between 4 and 6 years.
