Mucous in stool

My 15month old has had mucous in her stool the last two days. Should I be concerned? and what could the possible cause be?

THanks for your help

This may be normal and will just stop by itself or it can be the early signs of a gastric infection. If she develops diarrhoea and there is lots of mucous in her stools she should be seen by a doctor.
