Q.

Mouth Ulcer

My 14 months son has a mouth ulcer, he still seems fine and is eating well, what causes this and how to prevent it?. many thanks.

These ulcers are usually caused by a virus known as the Herpes virus. More ulcers may develop and your baby son may have difficulty in eating. Apply Teejel to the ulcer to relieve the pain.The ulcers usually last for up to 10 days. If he stops eating or drinking he must be taken to see a doctor.
