Hi Doc
Sorry for all the question but your advice is also very valuable to us parents
My son is 15 months old, asthmatic and has eczema. For about two or three months now I notice that he does something really strange. He stays motionless (I call it playing dead) where he stares into space, doesnt move or blink for quite a few seconds. And then he comes out of it. I also noticed this morning that while he does this, I see his finger move slightly. I am a bit concerned as I dont know if this is normal or not and how I should react to it. The first time I saw it two months ago, I thought it was cot death and freaked out. What do you think this is doc?

Thank you, you are welcome.Your baby appears to be having typical 'absence episodes'. I am concerned about these absence episodes as he may have a form of epilepsy. He must be seen by a paediatrician ASAP.Please let me know about the outcome once you have seen the paediatrician.
