More questions ...

Dear Professor,

I posted last week, as I was taking my 17 month old daughter to the Paed regarding constipation &  endless tummy troubles!
The Paed did suggest that I am very careful with her diet, and possibly pegicol for 2 weeks, just to get things going properly.
I decided not to use the Pegicol, as she has been sick (cold, cough, and very bad teething) so was giving her medicine for that, and don' t want to give her so much different stuff!
Her tummy seems OK at the moment, with the exception of 2 days in the last week and a half that she had a runny tummy (maybe due to teething?). But then no nappies for about 2 days in the week.

She is sleeping VERY badly at the moment, waking up nearly ever hour - but what I notice now, is that when I go to her when she starts crying, she is arching her back a lot - could this be a sign of a sore tummy, or something else? She vomitted once during the night on Friday night. She is also teething badly, her gums are very swollen &  even were bleeding a bit on Saturday.

I am giving her 10 drops Zyrtec - to try to stop her runny nose. And then some drops for teething, and I am trying to hold off giving her anything else.

Although your daughter is 17 months old she appears to be still having a reflux problem. Try her on Losec for at least 1 week to see if it helps her. Speak to your pharmacist.Let me know if she improves or if you still have problems.
