Q.

Molars and fever???

Morning Paed

Hope you are doing well. I need your help once again please.

My son is now 14 months 2 weeks. He has 1 molar and I think the one on the right hand side is busy cutting. Since Wednesday night his fever goes up and down - varies from normal to 38.5. Could this be cutting molars thats causing the fever to see-saw like this.

At times he will not eat and other times he will eat but not drink. Why is this? He is currently on Scotts Emolsion, because he started creche on Monday.

Thanking you in advance.

Your baby's fever is not due to his molars appearing. He may have an ear infection or may be getting a viral illness which is causing his temperature to be raised. If his temeperature is still up tomorrow he should be seen by his doctor.
