Q.

MILK ALLERGY?

PLEASE GIVE ME ADVICE. MY 4-MONTH OLD SON HAS BEEN ON LACTOGEN SINCE HE WAS 6 WEEKS OLD. FOR THE PAST 4 WEEKS, HE CONSTANTLY HAS A BLOCKED NOSE. SO BAD THAT I CAN HEAR HIM STRUGGELING FOR AIR. NOTHING I GIVE HIM WORKS, MUCOCARE, EUPHORBIUM, ILLIADIN, SALEX, KARVOL ECT, I''VE TRIED EVERYTHING!!! YESTERDAY I THOUGH MAYBE IT COULD BE THE MILK, AND STARTED GIVING HIM ISOMIL. HIS NOSE SEEMS BETTER, BUT HE HAS BRONGILITUS ALSO AT THE MOMENT. PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Paediatrician

Your baby could well be allergic to cow's milk as his symptoms are very suggestive of this. He should be tested for milk allergy. In the meantime he can continue on the Isomil. It would be best if he is seen by a paediatric allergist.
