Hi Doc
Hope you can help
My little one is 18 months old. He is currently on NAN HA2. I have tried moving him to S26 Gold, NAN3 and Nido but every time I move him to a No3 formulae, he gets sick and I have to move him back to HA2.
What can you suggest I give him or should I leave him on it?

He is also underweight, vegetarian (loves food), asthmatic. He is currently only 8.5kg however none of his paeds say that there is a problem. I do try to give him a bit of pediasure.
I am worried that he might not be getting all required nutrients. I give him vidaylin with iron in the mornings.
I would like to thank you for your input in advance

You are very welcome. The average weight for a little boy of 18 months is 11 kg. Your son's weight is well below the average and lies on the so-called 2nd percentile line. This means that his weight is in the lowest 2% for all boys of his age.I am not at all happy with this. He is obviously still allergic to cow's milk as he cannot tolerate any regular cows milk based growth formula such as those you list here.In addition he has asthma. I really think that it is time for him to be seen and treated by a paediatric allergist. There are experts in all the main centres in South Africa. If you cannot find one of these experts in your area I will try to help you to find one.
