Hi Doc
My little one is 16 months old. When he was 13 months, I moved him from NAN HA 2 to NAN 3. For the last three months he has been sick with the flu. He is prone to getting sick more often and the GP has recommended that we move him back to either NANHA2 or soy milk formula? He has had an allergy test done and there is no allergy to milk. He is allergic to egg albumen and dog dander. I do have him on probiflora, asthmatic pumps, deselex, singulair, nasonex and vidaylin with iron as I am raising him vegetarian and baby omega oils.
The doctor has also given me some homeopathic meds?
Now my question is do I change his milk back and what so you suggest?
What are the other things that I should avoid for my little one so that he is more healthy.
He is also on so much of medication and gets sick so often that his developement has been slowing down.
The creche has recommended that I take him to a physio and OT.
Can you recommend someone in Midrand, Lonehill or sunninghill?
Am I over medicating my son?

There does not appear to be any reason to change your little son's formula now.He is not allergic to milk.He is on a lot of medicines and you do not have a clear diagnosis of his problem. The medicines you list here are used to treat asthma and nasal allergy in children. Your son needs to be seen by a paediatrician so that a clear diagnosis can be made and the correct medicines, if any, prescribed.
