We just moved into a new house and found alot of mildew and especially in my sons room. He is five. He has been having like a reaction don' t know if it is from the mildew or from pollen. His eyes get red and puffy and sneezes and runny nose. Is this from the mildew. We are noticing it more and more around the house and i know this is not good for ones health. My son was diagnosed with asthama as a baby and outgrew it . Will it come back because of this mildew.

Mildew is caused by various forms of fungi and is due to dampness being a problem in your new home. Children can certainly become allergic to these various forms of fungi. You need to treat the cause of the dampness in your home and also need to wash down all walls and bathrooms with a dilute solution of Jik. Take your son to his paediatrician to be tested for fungal allergies.
