Does a 5year old child remeber a forster parent after 1 and a half years, when she has not seen or spoken to him.

Yes most children have well developed memories from the age of about 3 years.

My six year old went through my photos in my phone a few weeks ago for the first time ever and saw a photo of him with his nanny he had when he was between 14 and 17 months (when she then absconded). We haven''t spoken about her since he was probably around 18 months old as by then we were over our anger. He said her name and asked where she''d gone to.

When my son was 5 he would recognise children who had gone to nursery school with him 2 years previously when he hadn''t seen or spoken to them since they had left.

I think it just depends on the child and how good their memory is.
