Hello docter

May I take Corenza-C while I''m breastfeeding. If not what may I take for an cold. Thank you in advance.

I would not recommend that you take Corenza C while breastfeeding your baby. It contains aspirin, phenylephrine and an antihistamine all of which can pass into breast milk and may affect your baby. Just keep your nose clear by using a saline nose spray such as Sterimar and take Panado if and when you have a fever or headache.

No, its got aspirin in it, which does pass into the breastmilk and is not healthy for your baby.

I can''t take aspirin at all and last time I had a cold the pharmacist gave me something really similar with paracetemol in it.

You can take panado (which is paracetemol) to help with any pain in your face.
You can also steam your face over hot water to clear everything out.
Ocean Chamiflor spray is also really soothing on your nose.

Don''t take any antihistamine as this will dry up your breastmilk.

Hope you feel better soon. Remember to drink lots of clear fluids like water or apple juice, and to wash your hands often.
