Malaria

Is it safe to take a small child (18 months) into a malaria area (Mozambique)? What are the precautions that I should take?

The Wworld Health Organisation [WHO] advises that children under 8 years should not be taken into a malarial area unless absolutely necessary. It is particularly difficult to find a safe and effective anti-malarial medicine for children under 3 years of age.
