You cannot give Lariam to your baby. Medicines to prevent malaria are a problem with babies and none are really recommended. The main approach these days is to recommend very careful prevention of mosquito bites by using sleeping nets, burning mosquito coils and applying Tabard or Peaceful sleep.Do not take your baby out in the evenings when mosquitoes are around. To be really honest I do not believe it is worth taking the risk of taking a baby into a known malarial area such as Mozambique.

Must agree with doc!
We lived in Maputo for two years and I always knew someone with malaria! It is very real in Mozambique!
