Q.

Lung infection and Bronchopneumonia

My grandchild was recently diagnosed with lung infection and bronchopneumonia. Currently is hospitalised in ICU at a private hospital. She has her lungs immensed in water.
What can we expect? What kind of treatment is she suppose to undergo? How long still?
What are the complications of the condition?
Thanks

I am not sure that I understand your question correctly. Did your grandchild nearly drown or what do you mean by her lungs are immersed in water? Also how old is your grandchild? If she had a near drowning accident in fresh water she should recover very quickly. If she did not have a drowning accident and I have misunderstood you and she has an infection which caused her bronchopneumonia, she should recover well on antibiotic tretament in hospital
