Lump in Baby''s armpit

Hi, my 5 mth old baby boy has a hard lump in his armpit about the size of a R2 coin. Only noticed it last week. It doesn''t seem to worry him and if you lift his arms into the air it almost goes away. What do you think this could be?

Paediatrician

This could be an enlarged lymph gland or an abscess from his BCG immunisation which was done at birth. He must be seen by his paediatrician. Usually nothing needs to be done but a definite diagnosis is required.

Get it checked out by a paediatrician. My son had the same and he was diagnosed with tuberculosis of the lymph nodes.
