LO BEHAVIOUR

HI,
MY LO WAS 1 ON THE 04/01/09, YEST SHE WAS PLAYING AND PICKED UP ONE OF HER BROTHERS TOYS, I WAS WORRIED ABOUT HER CHOKING SO I TOOK IT AWAY FROM HER, SHE REACTED BY SMACKING ME IN THE FACE, WHAT CAN I DO NOW TO STOP IT BEFORE IT GETS WORSE

You are correct to be concerned about this because your baby's behaviour is totally unacceptable. Do not respond by smacking her but just be very firm with her. Say in a clear firm voice 'Do not do that to Mommy. Don't do that again' If she ever smacks you again just pick her up and put her in her room and close the door. Do not let her out until she has stopped crying and then she must understand,young as she is that she must be sorry about hitting you.

Hi, my little one has the habbit of hitting me in the face when i hold him in my arms! Now what i do is say NO in a louder voice and then take his had and rub my face with it softly and then repeat the words softly to him! I them praise him when he does it!
I used to have such scratch markes on my face and neck from him!
Its just their way of seeing how far they can push you! Even if they are so young!
