Liquids

Dear Doc

My 6 month old baby has up until now only had breastmilk and NAN. She will be starting with rice cereal now and purity in the near future.

Is there any merit in giving her plain water, or rooibos tea as well, or should I just stick to milk?

Also, if rooibos tea is appropriate, is it ok to use the normal brands in the supermarket, or is it neccessary to buy a brand that is specifically suitable for babies?

Many thanks for your advice.

You do not need to give your baby any rooibos or water now especially during the winter months when it is cold.
