Q.

leukemia

my daughter is 2 and a half she has always been very pale, we think that it is lack of iron and give her vitamins. recently on of our friends son was diagnosed with leukemia he seemed fine was just pale and now he is fighting with chemo. how will i know if my daughter is at risk for this and what can i do what do we watch out for, because she is pale could we be overlooking this thinking that it is just iron defficiency/ please advise

It is very likely that your daughter may have an iron deficiency anaemia.Fortunately leukaemia is much,much less common and it is most unlikely that your little daughter has leukaemia. It will put your mind at rest if you have her blood tested for possible iron deficiency anaemia.
