Q.

leaving my baby

Hi doc

This may sound like a strange question

But My husband and I need to travel for two weeks and need to leave our baby with her gran. She will be 6 months. Will she be ok emotionally?... Will she forget us?

I am also partly breast feeding her (she takes formula or expressed milk during the day and breast milk in the morning and evening)... How wiLl this affect her?

Your baby will be alright as long as she is being looked after by her granny. She certainly will not forget you.She will have to be on the formula feed while you are away. The stimulus for breast milk production is the baby feeding. It is possible that your breastmilk will stop if you are away for as long as 2 weeks. You will need to continue to express your breastmilk while you are away if you intend continuing to breastfeed your baby when you return.
