lactose intolerant

Hi Doc, how do you know when a baby is lactose intolerant?will the following be proof enough: Stinky poo,watery poo,stomach cramps?

my baby wasnt diagnosed as lactose intolorent but ive put him on infacare soya (after almost trying everything on the market) his stomach goes once daily, his got no cramps and he sleep right through the night at 15 wks.
