This is a difficult question to answer as nothing is certain about growing out of lactose intolerance. Many babies do grow out of this intolerance as they enter the second year of life and they develop the enzymes in the intestines to digest lactose in milk. However many children do not outgrow lactose intolerance and they grow into adults still with this problem.
