lactose continue (refer 2041)

Hi there,

I called our paed and hospital and they confirmed that they dont test babies for lactose intolerant only allergy to milk.

Well yesterday i noticed that parmalot sells a milk called easy digest lactose free. It is a long life milk and i tried it out. Normally i battle to get my son to drink 120ml at night last night he drank 3 x 120ml of this parmalot milk and another 120ml this morning on the way to his granny. So either this milk is not fulling for him or he loves the taste. I tasted it and it does taste rather good.

He slept much better last night on this milk. He is only 9 and a half months old, is there anything wrong with putting him on this milk now already.

The milk says fat free and no preservatives, is this ok.

what is your opinion on this and thank you for the previous response.

Thanks. You have battled to get your son the correct milk.In fact he should not have a low fat milk at his age so this is a major problem. Also all formulas are fortified with vitamins and other essential ingredients these days and Parmalat low lactose is not, so this is the second major problem. To answer your question he should not be on this milk now. Try a soya formula and see if he will take it eg Isomil2.Please let me know what happens.
