Q.

Lacson for constipated toddlers

How safe is Lacson for constipation? My two year old is really struggling and I''ve been recommended to give her a daily dosage. I have tried to change her diet but she is a very picky eater and I cannot forcefeed my child.

Lacson is a lactulose stool softener used for constipation in children. It is safe for use in most children unless by chance your little girl has the rare form of lactulose [not lactose!]intolerance. As this is unlikely it is safe for you to use Lacson for your daughter's constipation.
