Q.

Keppra and breastfeeding

Hi. I am 36 weeks pregnant and have been on Keppra (Levetiracetam) throughout the whole pregnancy. It is an anti-seizure drug in category C. Will I be able to breastfeed my baby while on Keppra or not?

Keppra definitely will pass into your breast milk. The manufacturers of Keppra advise against breast feeding your baby while on this medicine.
