Hi doc. My child is 4 years old and always want to be in the company of adults. She does not socialise much with other kids even at school. Is this normal? She also still throws lots of tantrums &  cries a lot. i thought with age it would get easier, but it doesnt. please help. what should I do?

It is unusual for a little girl of 4 years to still be having so many tantrums and also not playing with other children at school. She may just be a bit shy and withdrawn around other children. Invite one of the children from her school to your home to play with her and see if she comes out of her shell a bit and plays nicely. Once she has one friend she may start making others at the school and start playing normally and inter-acting with them.If she does not improve it would be a good idea to ask a child psychologist to see her.
