Q.

Itchy rash

Dear Doc

My daughter is 2 years old.

She has had a bit of excema as a baby, but it is well controlled using epimax and epizone e. However, she quite regularly gets a rash near her ancles - it would appear that she may be allergic to something in the grass?

It is light red, and her skin in that region feels a bit rough.

Please will you suggest what I may apply to sooth the itchiness and treat this?

Thank you

This does sound like an eczema rash. You can apply a very mild cortisone cream such as Mylocort cream twice daily for a few days to clear up your daughter's rash.Once it has cleared up apply Epimax cream twice daily to her lower legs and ankles.
