Q.

itching ears

My daughter is two years old, most of the time her ears are itching and as tiny as her fingers are she puts them deep into her ear and wiggles it all the time sometimes scracthing the inside of the ear and it bleeds.
She is getting her back teeth now as well. What is the cause or what should we do to help relieve the itchy feeling. some say warm olive oil...true?

Paediatrician

Your little girl has a problem called otitis externa. This is usually caused by shampoo getting into her ears. This condtion is difficult to treat. Speak to your paediatrician or pharmacist about ear drops similar to Locacorten-Vioform or another effective product.
