Q.

ISOMIL

MY SON OF 4 MONTHS STARTED ON ISOMIL ABOUT A WEEK AGO AFTER BEING ON LACTOGEN FOR 2 MONTHS. WITH LACTOGEN HE HAD 6X 175ML PER DAY. ON THE ISOMIL HE MAYBE HAS 4X 180ML. IS IT NORMAL FOR HIM TO CUT BACK ON 2 BOTTLES SO SUDDENLY? ALSO, I STRUGGLE TO GIVE HIM A BOTTLE AFTER HIS BATH BEFORE BED TIME. HE ALWAYS USED TO FINISH HIS LACTOGEN, BUT WITH ISOMIL HARDLY HAS 60ML (4TH BOTTLE). THEN HE WAKES UP 22:00 SCREAMING FOR A BOTTLE, WHERE HE USED TO SLEEP AT LEAST UNTILL 4:30AM. HE GOT STUFFY NOSE AND PHLEM FROM THE LACTOGEN.

This is a bit puzzling, but your baby probably feels full on smaller amounts of Isomil compared to Lactogen. He rapidly digests Isomil and within about 4 hours he is hungry again. This causes him to wake at 10pm. As he seems better on Isomil,he should probably continue on it. An alternative would be to try him on a low allergy cow's milk formula such as NAN HA.
