Q.

Insufficient sleep

Hi, my twin boys ( 7 weeks old) do not sleep for longer than 30 mins at a time, they spend more time awake than asleep, I know this is not normal from reading about the length of time babies should sleep in the day. Sometimes they cry alot while awake and other times they are calm. What could be the possible reasons for this behaviour??

There are several possibilities. The first one is that they may be hungry. Are they being breastfed? Other possibilities at this age are colic or acid reflux if you notice that they bring up their feeds regularly.
