Q.

insect repellent

Dear Doc
Is there anything repellent i can use for a 17 month old(to prevent insects/bugs and mosquito bites)

This is not an easy question to answer as there is no definite safety data available for insect repellents and young children.Having said this the usual repellents available in Sa are regarded as being safe for use in children from 2years upwards.

THERE ARE 2 DIFFERENT TYPES U CAN USE. THE ONE IS MIKE MOZZIE AND I CANNOT REMEMBER THE OTHER ONE. U GET THEM AT BABY STORES. THERE ARE ALSO WET-WIPES U CAN USE SPECIALLY FOR THIS. THEY WORK WOUNDERS!
