Q.

infection on knuckle

Hi dr,my 30mth old daughter has eczema.She has this terrible sore on her index finger of her knuckle.i have taken her to the dermatologist.She prescribed bactroban for 10 days, then dovate.It seemed to heal for that month,but then the knuckle got inflamed again.I've tried the same medication again, but it does not seem to heal.What other medication can i use?Please help

It is difficult to tell you what the best way to treat this infection without being able to see your little girl. I presume that her finger is very inflamed from what you have written here. It would be best if you took her to your doctor as she probably will need an antibiotic to clear up this infection.
