Infant diarrhea

My 2 month boy has has diarrhea now for 2 weeks. He used to pass stools once a day or every second day and now it''s 6 - 8 times a day. The stools are also mucuosy. I took him to his paed who recommend probiotics which I give him with his milk. I''m now concerned as its not getting better. I breastfeed him and supplement with nan 1. Could it be the formula or my milk causing this?

It is very possible that your baby is either allergic to cow's milk or has a problem known as lactose intolerance. As a start change his formula to NAN HA or even better try to only breast feed him.If his diarrhoea continues then he probably has a lactose intolerance problem and will need to go onto a lacose free formula such as NAN LF. As breast milk also contains lactose he will have to have the lactose free formula only.

Do you know if you started eating somthing new the last 2 weeks?
When I was breastfeeding my baby got sick when I was eating seafood. Eaven though some peadiatricians are of the opinion that this is impossible as food are broken up before being transformed into breastmilk, as soon as I stopped the seafood, my baby''s rash was getting better.

Or, when did you start the nan?
