Ideal weight for a nine month old baby

My nine month old daughter weighs 8kgs now. She was born 3 weeks premature. She is a petite little girl but very healthy. Except for some wind now and again and the usual teething problems she is just fine. She eats very well and is also still on formula. However her father and his family insist that she is underweight and they want to force her to eat more. I am not comfortable with this at all and would appreciate a professional opinion.

Thank you

You have done brilliantly with your little baby girl. Her weight is exactly on the average for baby girl's of her age of 9 months. Well done. Please ask your family not to try to force her to eat more than she does as you will want to avoid her becoming overweight.
