Hungry baby

Hi Doc,
Me again. thanks so much for your always valuable advice, and putting us mums at ease. You are providing a wonderful service to us, and saving us many unnecessary trips to the doc.

As I mentioned baby is now just over 6 months, and doing well on solids. I can''t say he is really over-weight, as per my last concern (overfeeding), but he does eat and drink very well. I can''t give his height exactly, but I would say he is very tall for his age.
The problem I am having now is that he gets up at 2/3 times at night for milk, and I know he is hungry, as his tummy rumbles.
He is still on Nan LF, and I think this is not filling him enough. Is there other milk I can supplement with or change to completely, that will satisfy him better?.
He has never slept through due to the various problems experienced since birth, and now I think the real problem is he is just not satisfied with the Nan LF.
At each feed during the night he will have at least 150 ml.

Thanking you in advance.

Thank you. You are very welcome. I agree, your baby is a big and hungry baby who is not being satisfied on a low lactose formula. The problem is that he has lactose intolerance so the solution is not simple. He is already on a good diet of solids. A soya formula will probably not satisfy him. He may be able to tolerate Novalac SD formula which you can give him as single bottle at bedtime.
