Q.

How not the get scars

Hello Doc

My 2 year old little girl fell/jumped/dived into the door frame on saturday night. We took her to the emergency room for stithces.
I think the doctor did it neatly, but it is in the middle of her forehead....
I just do not want to her to be scarred for live.
I heard about a plaster you put on after the stitches comes out, and leave it on for 3 weeks, and it helps to heal without scarring!? Does it work, and what is it called?

Please advice on the best option?!

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

When the stitches are removed the nurse should apply Steristrips to the wound to ensure that it heals with as small a scar as possible. Once the wound has closed and healed apply Vitamin E oil daily.
