Q.

How much milk?

My baby is almost 10 months old. She started eating solids at 5 months and is eating 3 meals a day (poridge for breakfast, meat and veg for lunch and supper) and a snack in the afternoon. How much milk is she supposed to have per day? On the formula tin it says 4 - 5 240ml bottles per day. This sounds like an aweful lot seeing that I battle to get her to drink more than 100ml at a time! Please help.

You do not mention your baby's weight. The average weight for a baby girl of 10 months is 8.5kg.Your baby requires 120ml of fluid for every kilogram she weighs per day. This is for all fluids. Assuming that she only takes milk as her fluid, her requirement is 120ml x 8.5=1020ml per day
