Fortunately in most cases no harm results to children who swallow a single contraceptive tablet or hormone tablet. You do not mention what type of hormone tablet your child swallowed. It is best to take your child and an example of the type of tablet taken accidently to the nearest paediatric emergency unit. It is certainly too late for this now and fortunately no adverse effects are likely other than possible vomiting of the tablets.
