Good evening,
Our nanny has HIV, we have a super relationship with her and have always known of her status. We have a 2 yr old daughter, who has just been diagnosed with Thrush in her month, two weeks ago she have thrush on her viaginia. She eats very well, fruit and veg daily (I home cook her meals). She stays at home with Thandi and is not in a day care yet. Is there any way that her Thrush could be related to our nannies condition? and could Thandi have given the Thrush to her by licking her spoon etc. Sorry for my ignorance but I want the best for my baby so I need to learn more.

It is highly unlikely that your little girl developed thrush as a consequence of any contact with your child minder. Much more likely is that she had an antibiotic recently and has developed thrush as a consequence of this. Give her Nysyatin oral solution 1ml 4 times a day in her mouth for 5 days. Treat her vaginal thrush with Nystatin cream twice daily. Give your daughter a probiotic such as 'Probiflora Children's' daily for 10 days.
