This does sound like hives and is also known as urticaria. This is usually an allergic reaction to a food or medicine that your daughter may have eaten or taken recently. The best tretament is an antihistamine called Allecet. Your daughter needs to take a single Allecet tablet 10mg once daily. She may need to take these tablets for several weeks until the rash clears up.Ointments will not clear the hives rash.
