Yes it would be best to ask your doctor to see your son as he is complaining about a headache and has a high fever. There is always the concern that symptoms like this may be due to meningitis in children.

You need to bring his temperature down. Give panado or ponstan or calpol. Any of these will bring down his temperature and also take away the headache. Also give him a luke warm (not cold) bath and let him just wear his underpants to keep him coo.

For his runny nose, use a saline spray like salex or ocean chamoflour to help get everything out.

When a child has a temperature it is a sign that they are fighting an infection. If once you have his temperature down, it comes back again in the night or tomorrow, then you should take him to the doctor. If it stays gone, then he''s probably OK, just carry on wtih the saline spray for his nose.
