harmful effects of onions to the liver

Does eating raw onion have any harmful effect on a liver specially if the child is recovering from thyphoid?

Raw onions certainly do not harm the liver and in fact may have good antibacterial properties. This may even help slightly where a child has a bacterial infection such as typhoid.
