Q.

Hard stools

My little daughter is 3 weeks old. I have got her on Lactogen1. When she passe her stools it is a little hard. I have put half a teaspoon of brown sugar in the odd bottle is that O.K. or what else do you suggest.

Lactogen is usually a good formula for babies who are inclined to be constipated.It may be better to try your baby on Novalac IT which is a special formula for constipated babies..

I used Novalac IT for a while...worked wonders!!!!! Now I use normal Novalac during the day but give my baby Novalac It at night...VERY happy and no more hard stools!!!
