Hair not growing

Hi all, my daughter is 12 years old, she loves fish and drinks lots of water and eats her veggies, however her hair just refuses to grow. It looks very healthy, as i wash it at least twice a week. can i give her a good vitamin to take if so which one. She does not play sport but is a keen swimmer and likes to walk. any advise, help?

This is not as unusual as you may think and definitely rather worrying for your daughter. She must have a test done to make sure that her thyroid function is normal.Ask your doctor to do this. If all is well and it probably will be, then give her a zinc supplement such as Zinplex every day for at least 3 months.Wash her hair with the new 'Pure Shampoo' twice a week and rub Coconut oil into her scalp once or twice week possibly over weekends when she does not have to go to school as it will make her hair rather oily.

my daughter has the same problem, at 10 days she was shaved with a razor to a very smooth blis kop and the hair grew back and then in July I had to cut it to a brush level and now the hair just wont grow back as fast as it did after the first shave, can I also use the meds mentioned above, she is now 9 months

Coconut oil work well, you can get it from Dischem or even Picknpay or Shoprite.
